Typical valley in the ancient Martian cratered uplands. The valley has been considerably enlarged by lateral erosional of the walls through mass wasting after the last flow episode. The floor shows a significant abundance of impact craters suggesting that the last flow happened in distant geological time. Today, dune fields are covering the floor of the valley, hiding the channel which collected the water. MOC image, (5S latitude, 359W longitude).
